Although refugees and immigrants may have the professional experience for high-skilled jobs in the U.S., they often lack the specific degrees, certifications, and training required for employment. These barriers prevent refugees and immigrants from unlocking their potential for economic self-sufficiency and contribution to the community. We believe that with the proper resources and mentoring, refugees and immigrants can overcome these barriers to unlock career advancement opportunities.
No matter where you are along your career path, Visionary Pathways can offer training to help you reach your vocational goals. We understand that the job market is especially difficult to navigate for refugees and immigrants, and we are here with you every step of the way. Our goal is to help you build a career pathway and to equip you with the tools you need to advance along that pathway.

Employers in today’s job market are looking less at GPAs on resumés and more at key experiences, such as internships. However, internship experiences are often inaccessible to youths from low-income families because they are frequently unpaid. Furthermore, youths from immigrant and refugee communities often lack the connections and resources to learn about and secure internship positions.
In order to help youths overcome these barriers, the Visionary Pathways Youth Internship Program is placing young people in temporary paid, high-impact positions and equip them with the tools they need to succeed.
